Behind The Shades; my first show in September on Budapest based Lahmacun Radio; it has traces of everything; from minimal synth, Electronic Body Music, to post-punk acts. The occasional synth tones concoct a great atmosphere in which you can lose yourself for a short while, whilst keeping your rebellious arty punk roots in check.
In this show; Dry Cleaning, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Die Warzau, Oppenheimer Analysis, Front 242, Skinny Puppy, Tones On Tail and more
Originally aired; Sunday September 10, 5-6pm. CET
Slowdive’s fifth full-length, Everything Is Alive (released September 1, 2023) radiate a majestic and fragile beauty. It may only contain eight tracks, but Slowdive manage to craft an album of profound beauty full of emotional heft, which encompasses sadness, joy, gratitude, and ultimately optimism. There is an intimate, insular feeling to the record. Slow-paced and spacy-sounding dream pop, this album became an instant favorite of mine

A Place to Bury Strangers; this Brooklyn trio drenches lovesick indie pop in sheets of deafening static and distortion. Heavy, atmospheric wall of sound-influenced blend of tinnitus-inducing noise-rock, shoegaze. Plenty of bands have tapped the trebly, ecstatic side of shoegaze in recent years, but none have imbued it with this band's frustrated aggression or lacerating feedback
Easy Life from the album Rare Meat - Demos And Rarities 2003-2017
New wave/electronic beats and sounds (almost shoegaze but not quite) and ethereal vocal harmonies fuse in this dark yet playful EP based on a Galaxie 500 tune. Edgy, eerily calming mood that is carefully curated. Electric and experimental, with haunting themes. The dark imagery of wayward romance punctuated by angst and heartache wraps you around its finger, pulling you deeper and deeper into the Snowstorm

As one of the leading pianists dedicated to New Music, Branka Parlić is performing the music of minimalist and postminimalist composers from the 20th century, and the first decade of the 21st century. With over five million views on YouTube, her performances of Erik Satie, Philip Glass, Michael Nyman, Wim Mertens, Arvo Pärt and others, are making Ms. Parlić a synonym for New Music
Her concerts have a specific visual identity, with special attention paid to the light design and visualizations, even design of concert flyers and posters.
Since 2004, British television CLASSIC FM TV started broadcasting a video work titled “Chaos”, created by Charles Stewart, on the music of Erik Satie’s Gnossienne No.1, performed by Branka Parlić, and the same TV Chanel was broadcasting a recording of her concert performance of Philip Glass’ Metamorphosis No.2 since 2005. In 2011, the awarded British television C Music TV started broadcasting videos of two Branka’s concert performances: Philip Glass’ Opening and Arvo Pärt’s Spiegel im Spiegel, the latter becoming a highlight videos of January and March 2011.
Branka Parlić regularly performs around Europe on solo recitals and various music and film festivals, but also holding lectures about the development of New Music, starting from Erik Satie, John Cage and finishing with contemporary composers, but also on the music of Philip Glass. She is a frequent guest in Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Holland, England, Denmark etc.

Satie was well known for curious directions to the would-be performer of his piano works, and also a sort of "running commentary" which he inserted into his humouristic works. The quote used as a title of the show; Seul, pendant un instant, is among them

"10 years ago I started composing music as aAirial with the well-appointed track "19Oct08". To celebrate this anniversary, I modestly decided to compile the tracks that are most important to me, with some unreleased works. Looking back without being nostalgic is probably the best way to bring your music to life in the present." - aAirial
